College Football (CFB) predictions

Maiden publishes a win probability for the college football games it covers: which side, how likely, and a projected margin and total for context. Games our model can't clear a 55% confidence floor on are left off.

Three picks, published before the season and left alone: the team our model makes the favorite, a contender it rates higher than the consensus does, and a longshot worth naming. 3 still open.

Maiden’s CFB predictions, explained

What does Maiden publish for a CFB game?

For every game we cover, the model produces a win probability for each side, a projected spread, and a projected total. What gets gradedis the win probability. The spread and the total are published as context and nothing more — and the spread is ours, not a bookmaker’s.

Why isn't every college football game covered?

We only publish a game where our number clears 55%. Below that our own testing cannot separate the model from a coin flip, and a call we cannot stand behind is not worth the line it would occupy. That means some weeks we say nothing about a game everyone else has an opinion on.

Does Maiden publish odds, prices, or units?

We publish our own projected spread and total on every game we cover, and where we have a licensed market number we show it beside ours, labelled as the market's: our probability against the market's, so you can see where we disagree and by how much. What we still never publish is a stake, or how much to risk, and we recommend nothing to back. Only the win probability is graded, and it is graded whether it wins or loses. Nothing here is betting advice.

How are the CFB predictions graded?

Every college football call is graded after the game against the official result, in the same public track record as the tennis, UFC, cricket and NFL picks.
